MEET ROBERT BENDER

About Robert

Robert Bender was born and raised in Pensacola.  Robert currently serves as an insurance consultant for USI Insurance Services, focusing on large commercial and public entity clients in Escambia County and surrounding areas. 

 

He is active in the community, including serving as a member of Leadership Pensacola Class of 2013 and Co-Chair of the class project, “LEAP Trail,” the Finance Committee for Episcopal Day School, and the Executive Committee of the First Tee of Northwest Florida. He has chaired committees for the Pensacola Seafood and Crawfish Festivals, participates annually in the Men Who Cook fundraiser for the PACE Center for Girls, and is a member of Christ Church. 

 

He previously operated his own consulting firm assisting with the operation and officiating of professional and top amateur events around the country for the United States Golf Association, Buy.Com Tour, Northern Texas PGA Section, and PGA Tour Qualifying School. 

 

Robert earned his MBA from Goizueta Business School at Emory University in Atlanta.  At Emory, Robert served as Vice President of Academic Affairs for the Goizueta Business Association Executive Council and President of the Goizueta General Management and Operations Club. He was selected as a Fellow for the Goizueta Advanced Leadership Academy; a member of the Core Values Statement Committee; and Teacher’s Assistant for Leadership Development, Operations Strategy, Six Sigma, and Process and Systems Management courses.

During MBA school, he interned at The Home Depot, At-Home Services.

 

Robert earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee and graduated from Pensacola High School

 

He and his wife, Amy Combs Bender, have two children.
